Kick off your summer morning with a naturally sweet and refreshing smoothie that’s loaded with health supporting ingredients. 

A protein shake is a great nutritional start to any day. Almond milk is a tasty, nutritious milk alternative that has many important health benefits. It is low in calories and sugar and high in calcium, vitamin E and vitamin D. Matcha green tea has been found to have significant health supportive and anti-cancer properties.

Add strawberries which are known to be a superfood – they are nutrient rich and packed with antioxidants (like vitamin-C).  Throw in spinach which is full of vitamins, minerals, omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants and phytonutrients.  Top it off with some mint (also an antioxidant powerhouse) and you’ve got a delicious way to fight cancer in the kitchen!

To make this refreshing green tea super antioxidant smoothie simply combine in a blender:

Unsweetened almond milk (carrageenan free)
Matcha powder
Organic strawberries
Organic spinach
Fresh mint leaves
Protein powder

Pulse until smooth

For a thicker smoothie, try adding ice or freezing the fruit ahead of time.

For a thinner smoothie, add a touch more almond milk.
