Hibiscus Mint Lemonade Tea Recipe

Quench your summer thirst with refreshing hibiscus lemonade!

Hibiscus tea brings a ruby red color and tart, floral flavor to traditional lemonade, while loading each sip with a plethora of health benefits.

It’s anti-inflammatory properties help reduce blood pressure and boost your immune system.

Protocatechuic acid found in the tea has anti-tumor and antioxidant properties which may also slow down the growth of cancerous cells.

Hibiscus tea also has the ability to cool down the body and satiate thirst quickly, making it the perfect summer day companion!

Serves 4

Ingredients

4  bags hibiscus tea
2  cups fresh mint leaves, plus sprigs for serving
2 1/2 cups lemonade (If store-bought, select a brand that uses fresh, natural ingredients and low amounts of added sugar)

Preparation

1. In a small saucepan, steep the tea and mint in 2 cups boiling water. Using a wooden spoon to gently mash the mint; let cool.

2. Discard the tea bags and mint. In a pitcher, combine the tea and lemonade.

3. Serve over ice and garnish with the mint sprigs.
